With 460 free libraries operating across fifteen states in India with books in over ten different languages- the network is a shining beacon of accessible knowledge and resonates with the vision of the founder of Kalam Centre, Srijan Pal Singh of “democratizing wisdom.”

 

COVID-19 Relief Work

Our team at Kalam Centre pledged to reach out to the marginalized section of the society through its diverse network of volunteers. With the support of our partners, we have been able to serve over 500,000 cooked meals and have distributed over 60,000 one-month ration kits to migrant workers and their families.

 

Dreamathon

Dreamathon aimed at enabling the youth to cherish their dreams and showcase the world of possibilities that lay ahead of them. Through this initiative, we successfully ignited 10 million dreams and rekindled the spirit of goodness in them, spreading one of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s important messages.

 

KIGA

Kalam Centre believes that the celebration of success marks the beginning of a new journey. During KIGA, we recognize select individuals and institutions who provided innovative solutions and utilized their intellectual prowess in improving governance and delivering value to the citizens.

Srijan Pal Singh

Srijan Pal Singh is an author, public speaker, education innovator and social entrepreneur. He is IIM-A Gold Medalist and had worked as an Advisor to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the 11th President of India. Currently, he is the Founder and Mentor of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Centre, a non-profit organization working on integrated missions across multiple dimensions in an effort to continue the vision and works of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

Dr. Ashok Patil

Chairman, Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation, Pune

Dr. Ashok Patil is the Chairman of the Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation and also the first Indian to become a President of International Association of Agricultural Medicine and Rural Health (IAAMRH). Dr. Ashok Patil along with Magsaysay Award Winner Padmashree Dr. Rajanikant Arole founded the Indian Chapter of the Association in 1988, under the auspices of Pravara Medical Trust, Loni, Maharashtra.

Author and Expert on Mass Behavior

Mr. Howard Bloom is the critically acclaimed author of Global Brain: The Evolution of Mass Mind from the Big Bang to the 21st Century (2000). He is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, the National Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Psychological Society, amongst several prominent names. Bloom is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Space Society.

Vice-Chancellor, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University

Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak took over as the Vice Chancellor of Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) on 25 November 2009. He has also served as Lecturer, Assistant Professor at Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTI) Kanpur, Project Scientist at IIT Kanpur and again as Professor and Dean at HBTI Kanpur. Prof. Vinay Pathak has worked in Media Lab Asia and successfully did the work of info-sculpture

Desh Deepak Verma

Mr. Desh Deepak Verma, IAS batch of 1978, is a retired officer associated with the U.P. Cadre. In his fulfilling career, he brilliantly performed both at the State and at the Central level. Post his retirement as the Secretary, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of India, he was selected as Chairman of U.P. Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC). He joined as Secretary General, Rajya Sabha on September 01, 2017 in the rank and status of Cabinet Secretary.

Chairman, Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority

Mr. K. P. Bakshi is an IAS Officer from the batch of 1982 Maharashtra cadre. He worked as a Senior Scientific Officer in Defense Research & Development Laboratory (DRDL) Hyderabad, developing Missiles for 5 years before switching over to the IAS. He has participated in several courses in public administration in international and national institutions of great repute.

Swami Nikhileswarananda

Swami Nikhileswarananda is the Head of Rajkot centre of Ramakrishna Mission, which is having its Headquarters at Belur Math, (near Kolkata) and having 173 branches all over the world. He graduated in Chemical Engineering and holds a postgraduate in Industrial Engineering. After working for a short period as a Management Consultant, he renounced the world and joined Ramakrishna Order at its Headquarter at Belur Math.

Dilip Rath (IAS Retd.)

Former Chairman, National Dairy Development Board

Mr. Dilip Rath, is the former chairman of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). Mr Rath, a 1979 batch IAS, has served in different capacities under the State Governments of West Bengal and Odisha and the Central Government. He was the Joint Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Government of India from 2008 to 2010. He was also the Mission Director for the National Dairy Plan.
