In the entire solar system, our planet Earth has those distinguished attributes which can sustain life for not just human beings but an entire kingdom of flora and fauna, both above and below the surface of water. At the same time, the planet faced the brunt of irresponsible humankind that is often inconsiderate of the repercussions that its actions will have.
Committed to democratizing access to resources and opportunities, Kalam Livable Planet Conclave, dedicated to the vision of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was established on the first anniversary of passage of the late luminary. Notably, his last lecture at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Shillong was also devoted to ‘Creating A Livable Planet’.
It is attended by young delegates who are handpicked from all over the country for their outstanding work in the nation’s service and social cause. The Conclave also features a presentation of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Livable Planet Award to selected individuals and institutions for their exemplary work for the nation and society.

The fifth edition of Kalam Livable Planet Conclave was a virtual event and was held from 24th to 27th July 2020. The theme for the Conclave was ‘Building a New India: Opportunity in Crisis.’ Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog was the Chief Guest for the event.
The Dr. A.PJ. Abdul Kalam Memorial Award for Creating A Livable Planet Earth was presented to Nobel Laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Dr. Sonam Wangchuk (Education Innovator) and Dr. Naresh Trehan (Chairman, Medanta) for their contributions towards Creating A Livable Planet.

The fourth edition of Kalam Livable Planet Conclave was held on 27th July 2019 at NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi. The theme for the Conclave was ‘Sustainable Happiness for New India.’ The event saw the participation of 500 delegates from different parts of the country.
Dr. A.PJ. Abdul Kalam Memorial Award for Creating A Livable Planet Earth was presented to His Holiness Sri M (Founder, Satsang Foundation) and His Holiness Swami Chidanand Saraswati (Head, Parmarth Niketan Ashram) for their contribution towards Creating A Livable Planet Earth.

The third edition of Kalam Livable Planet Conclave was held from 24th to 27th July 2018. The Valedictory session of the conclave was held on 27th July 2018 at Parvasi Bharatiya Kendra in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. The theme for the conclave was ‘India Vision 2020’ and ‘Access to Water for All.’
Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog was the Chief Guest for the event. Dr. A.PJ. Abdul Kalam Memorial Award for Creating A Livable Planet Earth was presented to Deendayal Research Institute for their contribution to Sustainable Development in Rural India.

The second edition of Kalam Livable Planet Conclave was held in Lucknow on 27th July 2017. Some of the guests were Shri Jayant Sahasrabuddhe, National Organizing Secretary, Vijnana Bharati and Shri Pankaj Singh, Youth Icon and Member of Legislative Assembly, Noida.

The first edition of Kalam Livable Planet Conclave was organized in Lucknow on 26-27th July 2016. The luminary speakers included Shri Ram Naik (Honorable Governor, Uttar Pradesh), Shri Javagal Srinath (Former Cricketer) and Dr. S.Y. Quraishi (Former Chief Election Commissioner).
