With 12 major rivers feeding a population of 1.3 billion+ people, scarcity of water is an inevitable challenge that is reeling in front of us. Vital to the existence of mankind on the planet, there is an urgent need to preserve water. Kalam Centre aims to build a water-efficient India, where every individual has unfettered access to water at any given point in time; we all have the Right to Water. Committed to addressing water poverty, Kalam Centre believes that Access to Available water can be democratized through Innovation.
Kalam Centre has relentlessly endeavored to formulate creative educational material, including Keto comic book series, board games, and cue-cards with Water Facts in order to expedite the public outreach and development activities. With support from quality research and deeper community outreach, we are sure we will be able to solve the water crisis in the country and accomplish our goal.

Private Member Bills (PIL) in Assemblies and in Parliament and campaigns to include clean drinking water for all in 2019 manifestoes.
Innovation
Water Innovation Fund
Setting up Water Innovation Fund – to promote local startups and college innovations to save, clean and recycle water.
Water Startup Challenge
Organizing a national Water Startup Challenge every year to promote and fund startups in the water domain.
Kalam Centre has relentlessly endeavored to formulate creative educational material consumable in schools in order to expedite the public outreach and development activities. This includes Keto and the Water Warriors comic book series, board games, and cue-cards with Water Facts. This material is being used at all the Kalam Libraries to educate youth about water scarcity.
Through this initiative, we intend to inculcate the significance of conserving water and creating a livable planet Earth. Furthermore, the project aspires to support innovations and startups in the domain of water as a part of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial InnoBlu Centre, which was inaugurated on 27th July 2018, the third anniversary of the passing of Dr. Kalam. Volunteers, students and startups will be engaged and mentored to take up social challenges related to water in devise frugal, scalable and innovative solutions.
