Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Foundation Trust is a business strategy partner for Project Aatman. The Trust was established in 2015 to continue the vision and works of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the 11th President of India. It aims to promote innovation, across governance and social enterprises. It has been working extensively towards creating knowledge assets and empowering stakeholders across the cross section of the society.
Kalam Trust is creating a robust mentorship program for artisans. By enabling entrepreneurial skills in artisans through training from subject matter experts, it is taking indigenous skills and products to global markets.
Business ess partnerships being are fostered with organisations and companies to engage them as marketing and commerce partners for craft forms incubated at the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Centre for Design. Depending on each one’s mandate and vision, their contribution to Project Aatman is either as a knowledge partner through engagement of subject experts, or for promotion related outreach activities such as exhibitions, events, newsletters etc. The collaborators will further channelise commerce of ABCD products through sales and marketing strategies. They will also be encouraged to initiate development activities at the clusters of crafts that are being incubated at the Red Fort.
